Cancellation Policy:  Please be advised that you may cancel your order at any time within five (5) business days (includes Saturday) and receive full refund of your purchase price.  Because the fabrication process will have started, cancellation refunds requested after the five-day period will be subject to a reduction amounting to twenty-five percent (25%) of the item(s) price(s). No cancellation refunds will be processed if order has been shipped.  See below for terms and conditions of returning merchandise.

1. To unpack your purchase, carefully follow instructions on the crate.   In the unlikely event your item must be returned, it will be required that you repackage the art in its original shipping container.  Profiles In Steel will not authorize return for refund or exchange in any other container. 
2. Profiles in Steel   (PIS) guarantees your purchase will be “as advertised.”  If, after receiving your art, you are dissatisfied with your purchase we will consider refunding your purchase price, including the original shipping charges.  However, this artwork is custom made for you.  Therefore, all returns for refund, except for defect, are subject to a service charge deduction of 25% of the base price of the artwork (excluding shipping) plus other possible deductions for damages (see below).    Returns will be considered based on the following:
   
   Returns will only be accepted at our workshop showing a valid Return Authority Code (RAC).  Code may be obtained by telephoning Joseph at Profiles In Steel   (830-660-7851, collect calls not accepted) during normal business hours (8AM to 4PM, Central time).  You will be asked your reason for wanting to return your purchase.   Purchase must be returned in original shipping crate, with all screws and packing back in place, and with RAC number clearly displayed on or next to your address label.  (Example: RAC # 0X000.)  Refund will not be processed unless and until return shipment is received and inspected.  Damage occurring to returned items as a result of bad re-packing will be assessed as a percentage of the purchase price and deducted from the refund processed.  Return shipping charges, unless for return of item(s) you received damaged are the responsibility of the purchaser.  Request for return and refund must be made within ten (10) days of your receipt of goods.
   
   If you receive your purchase damaged, and wish a replacement only, Profiles In Steel   will pay shipping charges for the return as well as the charge to ship your replacement.  However, the above conditions for packaging of the return still apply.  If a return for replacement is not shipped in its original container, Profiles In Steel will decline to ship the replacement and will instead issue a refund, minus appropriate damage allowances and prepaid return shipping charges.
   
   
3. Handle your Profiles In Steel   art very carefully.    Please be warned that some items we produce have somewhat sharp points contained within them.  In creating out of steel such things as hair strands, leaves, flowers, branch tips, etc. we opt for realism and that means some things come to a fine point.  This is art done in tough metal.  It would not have the appeal it does if detail was left out.  Edges are not sharp, only the tips of points.
   
   Profiles In Steel  will not be held responsible for injury caused by mishandling or incorrect hanging of your purchase.  Do not hang within reach of small children.  Use only the hardware and instructions furnished for hanging.
   
   
4. Outdoor Display.   Profiles In Steel   recommends that you not permanently hang your purchase outside in the open, such as from a tree limb or fully exposed beam.  Strong wind will cause rapid swinging.  Because this is heavy steel, excessive swinging could wear out chain too quickly, causing the finish to wear away, the chain to corrode and possibly your artwork to fall and be damaged.  Unless you plan to take your artwork down each day, it would be better to hang it against a wall with proper cushioning in place (to prevent wall damage if it swings in heavy wind) or use mounting brackets commonly used to mount bathroom mirrors.
